There are times when I forget Perry is gone.
Mostly when I wake up and go sleepily to let him out, or when I make a loud noise like dropping something heavy and cringe and go look to see where he is. He didn't like loud noises.
But no times do I miss him more than when I am cooking.
He was always underfoot waiting for something to drop...especially spinach.
That silly dog tripped me up so much when I was cooking that I don't know what to do with all the space I have now.

Oh my gosh, I totally know what you are talking about. The activation of the lower part of the space. A doggy activates the energy there very well!! We noticed that a lot too after Guinness passed away!! How they "activate" the energy in the lower part of the house. It's very interesting.
Indigo's dad had a dog named Milo that died a year ago in October...
He still has a hard time when he drops his keys or puts them down hard enough to make them rattle, cos as soon as he hears it, he thinks of rattling the keys to get Milo's attention, and always thinks for a second thinks that Milo's gonna come around the corner :-(
